Hear the new album streaming on TNPS Myspace. Says the brilliant chap at Drowned in Sound, “Beat Pyramid was a promising shot across the bow, but no one could have predicted the carpet bombing TNPS intended to unleash.” 9/10 (Quoting myself, it doesn’t get tackier than that!)

Minor Kingdom: My Back Will Bend (any folk music fans?); Jack Penate: Everything is New (Pure Pop from the other side of the Atlantic); Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros (2 of the top 10 songs of the year off one album?); Washed Out: Life of Leisure – EP (waiting for the full length); The Mumlers (from my neck of the woods and a lot of fun)
Thanks for reading.
Banjo Or Freakout: XMAS ALBUM
December 17th, 2009 by Stone Junkie
As I was looking for the perfect digital stocking stuffer, I came across this little gem of a Christmas album from psychedelic daydreamer Alessio Natalizia, aka Banjo Or Freakout. Don’t let the familiar song titles fool you. This isn’t Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” or Burl Ives’ “Jingle Bells.” Like all Banjo Or Freakout material, this album was recorded on the first take, with “no second chance.” Most of these compositions were put to tape within the last couple of weeks and it is available free from the Banjo Or Freakout blog and here. Merry Christmas!
Tracklisting:
- White Christmas
- Merry Christmas, Baby
- Jingle Bells
- Christmas Is Coming
- Must Be Santa
- Silent Night
- Come On Ring Those Bells
- Joy To The World
- Blue Christmas
Coachella 2010 Official Dates
December 14th, 2009 by HemoroyedHowever, don’t expect the line-up any time soon.
They have also revamped the the camping criteria. Looks like this year it will be car camping only. Read through this thread to gather some pros and cons. http://coachella.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34648
I am still undecided as to whether or not I’ll get a hotel room (as I have for the past five years) or not. I don’t know if this car camp factor is of benefit or not…
