As I was watching this song, I saw a “Warpaint” tab on the right side of the website, so I decided to go to warpaint’s myspace page and the song playing was called “Billie Holiday”…wow, that is just scary.

Lester Young…the 2nd soloist in…was an amazing dude. It’s weird…as jazz got further and further out these original players were forgotten, but there was really no one as talented as they were. John Coltrane had nothing on Charlie Parker as far as pure lyric ability goes.
