WhenYouAwake.com Presents Neil Young Tribute & Fundraiser
Old-school folk music enthusiast and frequent participant in TSS-related activities Josy Orsborne is putting on a show on for the ages. She has partnered with the Children’s Music Foundation to host a show featuring various bands playing Neil Young songs in order to raise money that provides musical instruments and Music Therapy to children with chronic and life altering illness. The show will feature the likes of Delta Spirit, Dead Meadow, The Parson Redheads, Leslie and the Badgers, Family of the Year, Justin Gordon, Restavrant, and Shakey Graves among others.
This night promises to be a throwback to better days when music had more depth and weight than much of what we experience today. Please join me in celebrating the music of a legend, supporting a dear friend, and contributing to the betterment of ill children through the majesty of music.

I think its unfair to characterize music of the past as having more substance than the music of today. On the contrary… new artists are constantly revising our interaction with music.
Most importantly, I’m pretty confident that the person who wrote the article would agree w/ me.
