Akron/Family Bootleg – Live in Utrecht, Netherlands 04.14.2006
You might be tired of AK by now, but in case you are not I found this bootleg on another website. Since then I have re-spliced the nodes and created an album cover and tagged the songs appropriately. It is now in mp3 format.
There is a song on here that I have never heard before called “Small Shapes”. Additionally Akron plays a Seth Olinsky song from the Best of Seth album titled “Ali, Ali”. It is a beautiful love ballad about that moment when you see a young woman across the way and are set in a momentary trance.

Seeing that photo of the sound waves made a random memory come forward in my mind.
In 8th grade my history teacher gave us an assignment. We had to choose a piece of classical/orchestrated music. The assignment was to then take a loooooong sheet of paper, and going from left to right, draw a line which oscillated up and down which would sync with the flow of the music. We would then do the same process over again, but instead of drawing a line with the music, the line would be reflective of a certain period in time, showing its various highs/lows/peaks/valleys (based upon varying factors such as political unrest, economy, social standards, etc). The two would then be compared along with everyones’ in the class.
I totally forgot about that project until now, god bless my 8th grade history teacher.

It is the sound wave from one of the songs on this live recording… Tonight: Light the fire, Sit in your arm chair, Puff on a Holmes pipe, Close your eyes, Listen to the bootleg…..I am sure your brain will be able to visualize which song the cover is.
