Things to do in LA county before I die….
Belong, Blackjack, Deastro, El Guincho, Grouper, High Places, Horse Feathers, Love Is All, Matmos, Pattern Is Movement, The Tallest Man On Earth. Only so many hours in the day, eh.
Since Capt. AKAK took the time to post this, I scrolled through available clips of some of these hotly tipped bands (Telepathe is another one! So many…) and when I got to Horse Feathers, who are kinda a Fleet Foxes band, good – I started watching the Horse Feathers, the movie. Maybe you cool kids are too young to know. Maybe you’ve only heard of the Marx Brothers from your Grandpa and Grandma at Thanksgiving. Now, add me to that distinguished list of old, senile persons who love and admire their comedy.

High Places’s self-titled album has been in the cd changer for about a week, I have given it about 5 listens completely through. I give it a 7.5 with some highs and lows per usual. The cd overall is pleasent but sometimes lacks the furousity to capture my heart. Live them were pretty great. It reminds me of two white kids run on a beach in Jamaica.
